Sailing the Irish Sea, Dublin to Isle of Man in record time

Описание к видео Sailing the Irish Sea, Dublin to Isle of Man in record time

Motor sailing to Port St. Mary for the first time since Brexit we get to fly our quarantine (Q) flag. We are greeted by marine life as we enter Manx waters. We make the passage in record time beating our previous record by an hour.

The forecast gets it wrong again as there had been no lightening mentioned anywhere. Being a sailboat we are the tallest point of contact in a wide open sea which is a bit scary to be honest. As a precaution we go below deck whilst the lightening is close, leaving our autohelm Otto to hold our course of 54 degrees magnetic. I realize having electronics on during a storm was dumb as everything could have been fried if we were hit by lightening, but this was our first lightening storm at sea.
