When western reservoirs experience their annual spring flood levels, it often inundates large areas of willows and cottonwood trees. Baitfish and walleyes utilize this abundance of cover and nutrients making the cover a great place to fish. Specialized techniques more akin to bass fishing can be very effective and plucking walleyes out of the bushes.
