Bangladesh Opposition Rejects Polls Results, Awami League Junks Opposition Claim

Counting of votes in the Bangladesh polls on Sunday had barely begun when the BNP-led opposition alliance Jatiya Oikya Front declared that the polls were a fraud and results fictitious and demanded fresh polls under a caretaker government. But the ruling Awami League rejected the opposition’s demand, saying they always suspected this was their strategy to attack Sheikh Hasina - participate in the polls and then declare them a fraud.
