To be able to use one-handed mode, you'll need to be using navigation gestures. This mode will not work for navigation buttons.

Step 1: Launch the Settings app, scroll down and select "System & Updates". Here, tap on "System Navigation", which is usually set to "Buttons" by default.

Step 2: Under System Navigation, you will see the two options, Gestures and Buttons. Select "Gestures" to use swipe-based navigation. For example, swipe up to go home, swipe from the sides to go back, and swipe up and hold for recent apps.

Step 3: Go back to the Settings menu, scroll down and select "Accessibility & Convenience". Here, select the "One-Handed Mode" option.

Step 4: Toggle the "One-Handed Mode" switch to turn it on. Now you can proceed to use it.

Step 5: While on the home screen or any app, swipe down at the bottom of your screen (one the gesture guide bar) to enter one-handed mode. The entire screen will shift downwards, bringing the top portion within your thumb's reach, into a panel.

This feature is especially useful when you need to access the top of the screen while browsing or using apps. You can now easily tap on buttons, links, or icons in the top half of the screen without stretching or adjusting your grip.

Step 6: To exit one-handed mode, simply tap on the blank area on top of the panel, swipe up from the bottom of the screen or tap on the upward-facing arrow in the middle of the screen. Your OnePlus 13 will return to its standard display mode.
