I love taking cheap basses and making them special, personal, and practical for gigging.

In this video I rewind a cheap stingray pickup. I wanted it to sound more like an old stingray pickup so I underwound it. The preamp in this bass has a resonant LPF as a treble control and I wanted more high treble from the pickup to make the most of this.

The music is my original track. All the sounds were all made by this bass with this pickup. And only EQ, reverb or delay, and compression added.
