Physicist Reviews Black Hole Memes (and makes some too)

This is how we know we live in 2019. Humanity achieves something huge, and there are memes about it within hours :D

Hey guys, so I'm back with a silly sit down and chat video today! I decided I'd jump on the black hole bandwagon and review some of the most brilliant memes about the image of the black hole at the centre of the M87 Galaxy, recently taken by the Event Horizon Telescope.

Of course, the first type of meme mocks just how blurry the image of the black hole actually is. But then, this is the first ever image after all, and it took multiple telescopes on different parts of our planet to produce this image. I'm sure eventually we'll get better images as scientists photograph other black holes and / or come up with more ingenious ways of photographing far away objects.

And then, there's the blend of memes - black hole + doggo memes and black hole + shocked pikachu meme. I always love a good meme blend, especially when done well.
