GRAV is a space-exploration game that offers a ton of unique experiences for any wannabe astronaut to enjoy! GRAV will let you kill creatures with a pistol, glide on wings, and even find your way to new planets... And all in a gorgeous colorful environment.
If you are a space-lover, or just enjoy technological marvels GRAV could certainly be worth a look. Hopefully it will please, although GRAV has a long way to go before it's a full-fledged game the outline is highly promising.
The price tag for GRAV is relatively hefty for an indie title, but you can see where the money is going and BitMonster updates the game 2 or 3 times per week! Awesome!

GRAV is a good game. I open with that statement as, unfortunately, the game is hanging around the 60% positive review mark, which, in Steam terms, is terrible.
Does the game deserve negative reviews? Yes, of course, every game will have people who dislike it, and that's fine.
But does the game deserve THIS MANY negative reviews? No, I wouldn't say so. GRAV isn't a bad game, and you will notice from most of the negative reviews that people who dislike this game are people who have only played the game for a few hours, or people who complain about how the servers aren't fully alive and active all the time. That is because these people do not fit into the target audience.
I will adress all of these subjective "flaws", but first I will point out to you that GRAV has a LOT of grinding. This is not necessarily a bad thing, even though the general public would assume so. The game is absolutely FULL of things to work for, and many of these things take a very long time to achieve. In my opinion, this is a great thing. You always have something on the horizon to strive for, you'll always be able to try out that new equipment you just earned, and you'll always, always feel satisfied with the results of a long grind. That is why you should take another perspective on any review with under 10 hours played.
As for server activity, PvP, etcetera, I don't recommend this game if you're looking for a purely player-versus-player experience against random people. GRAV isn't built for that. A few experience levels make a huge imbalance in damage and total health, and so the game doesn't hit the mark as far as public PvP environments go.
If PvE isn't your thing, though, don't be strayed away! I think GRAV is great as a team game, where everyone starts at the same time and has a race to the top, in some sort of red vs blue scenario.
But, where this game really shines for me, is with or against friends. Progression is made much sweeter when you have a partner or two by your side, so I recommend this game the most to those who favour PvE or team environments. GRAV has so much to offer in terms of fun player interaction, and memorable moments are a plenty. I've had many epic experiences gliding through the air alongside my small group, riding a futuristic vehicle over plains, or simply dancing around a fire with friends.
So, in conclusion, I can easily recommend GRAV. It is fun and it is good. However, you should take some more time to consider if you are wanting to play the game alone. That can be said for a lot of multiplayer-compatible games, but GRAV in particular shines with friends. -Link
When I first bought this game a few months ago it was literally unplayable as nothing more than a resource hog. Fire it up and watch my RAM get sucked down to 0. I couldn't even log one hour into the game so I just stopped playing. After a couple big updates came through the pipeline a few days ago I decided to see if it was even playable. Boom! 5 hours straight! This game is fun! Now it's living up to the mediocre reviews that got me to buy it on sale in the first place!
I know that doesn't sound like an appealing review but it's honest and that's hard to come by anymore. I would still recommend waiting until a sale but I don't buy any game for full price unless it's the newest game of my favorite series ever. Anyways, GRAV is a genre I enjoy: sandbox survival. I don't really see the survival elements so much in the early game other than hunger, but there is lots of unique crafting to be done and plenty of beasts to kill and caves to explore to find the resources you need to make said items. I still haven't even gotten off my initial planet yet so there's still that yet to come. The reason I bought this game in the first place was people saying how beautiful the planets were and how nice it is to look at and just explore while stoned. They were right! -Chicken Bear
