This movie is from the archives. We climbed Telescope peak in Death Valley National Park on February 13th, 2021 after spending a very cold and dark night at the trailhead. This peak is remote and is the tallest spot in Death Valley National Park. While it's super technical we did end up using crampons on the final push to the summit because it was steep and iced over.

The top of Telescope Peak gives one of the most unique views in the United States: you can see Mt. Whitney (the highest point in the lower 48 states) and Badwater Basin (the lowest point in North America) at the same time.

After we came off the summit a freak snow storm came in and put the peak, and us, in a whiteout. The beauty of this austere landscape is unmatched and made especially memorable by the snow.
