Normally the 1-2-3-2-1 lawn watering technique is what we recommend for a lawn, but there is an exception to this and that is a lawn with full shade. If the lawn has full shade we recommend the 1-2-1 lawn watering technique. There is even a case to be made for severe shade areas where one day per week watering or only watering when necessary is the best approach.

We strongly recommend seeding cool season grasses with Emerald III turf type tall fescue from buffalo brand grass seed company out of Greeley Colorado.
