This is Mike French's harness tape recording that captured the walk-on and run through on the day of DCI finals in 1989. The harness noise, duts, breathing, relative audio position of brass and pit, I think even some flag PVC noise, and other nuances put the listener right inside the '89 snareline. It's a low tech version the go-pro style videos we're seeing now-a-days–which are also amazing, of course.
