Color Bath by Kie Katagi // Marimba Arrangement

I was driving with my friend Drew Black and I showed him this song called "Color Bath", which features the most gorgeous piano riffing in rich genre of music. I half jokingly said that he should make this into a solo for me, and before I knew it we made it into a reality. After he transcribed it and did some arranging, I finished arranged the rest and spent the next week and half quickly learning, memorizing, and recording this piece.

This is the hardest piece of solo music I have ever played, where each measure was its own project and required extreme endurance for me to get through. It was a fun challenge for me that pushed me to grow stronger and play in a style and medium I don't see often for marimba. Hope you enjoy!
