Best Drive for 4K Video Editing | G-RAID SHUTTLE REVIEW

Описание к видео Best Drive for 4K Video Editing | G-RAID SHUTTLE REVIEW

For 4k video editing, I chose the SanDisk G-RAID SHUTTLE 4. I’ll explain why in this video. The best bang for your buck version in my opinion is the 72 TB version. It’s a lot less expensive than buying 3 24 TB G-Raid Shuttle Drives. It’s currently about $2600 cheaper in fact. I know that SSD drives are all the rage these days, but for price, storage size, speed and reliability, the G-RAID SHUTTLE 4 is a great deal. There are 4 3.5” spinning drives in the G-RAID SHUTTLE that act as one. Because the G-RAID SHUTTLE is preconfigured for RAID 5, if one of the 4 drives goes bad, I can replace it with a new one and all of my data will be safe. There are 4 18 TB drives in the G-RAID SHUTTLE 4 which equals 72 TB, but only 54 of those TBs are available to you because of the RAID 5 configuration — which is fine with me, because 54 TBs is still a ton of storage. 54 TBs of SSD drives would be a lot more expensive. I’m using my G-RAID SHUTTLE with Adobe Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer. The shuttle had absolutely no issues handling 4k footage in any of these programs, which makes me happy with the performance of the G-RAID SHUTTLE 4. Because the G-RAID SHUTTLE provides affordable large amounts of storage, can handle 4K Editing and is reliable because of RAID 5 I think it’s a great value.
