As a British Airborne veteran, it’s always fascinating to see how other nations train, fly, and operate their air assets.

Pakistan Air Force has a unique mix of Western and domestic fighter aircraft, with the JF-17 Thunder now replacing older Mirage and F-7 models. The F-16 fleet continues to be a major backbone for air-defence and precision strike missions, while new projects like JF-17 Block III are pushing technology forward.

As a former British Army Airborne soldier, I always enjoy seeing how different nations train, operate, and maintain their elite units. Pakistan has built a highly capable and professional air force with a growing special operations capability that’s getting global attention.
