I'd like to dedicate this video to my parents. My parents never forced me into medicine, but they supported me 100% of the way on the journey. They worked long nights, sacrificed their own personal enjoyment, and looked out for us so that my three sisters and I could have opportunities that they never did. When it came to education, there was never a book, a course, or a resource that my parents wouldn't try to get for me so that I could succeed.

As I look back on my own educational journey, there the struggles I had to overcome were different than those of my parents and albeit probably easier because I knew they would always be there to support me. I cannot help but understand what my mom has felt, looking at her own life and reflecting on how she got there. As we get older, we come to appreciate more and more what our parents have sacrificed for us. In the end, I could've never asked for more imperfectly perfect parents. I wish everyone good luck.

This video is meant to just document the start of something new in a more cinematic light. I have no doubt that medical school will get much more emotional, but we all start at the same place.

I'm sure that medical school will be very, very difficult, but I know that without my parents, I would've never made it this far in the first place. Enjoy
