Truck Camping Gold Butte National Monument

This week we head out to Gold Butte National Monument with the Vegas Overlanding group!
One of the newest National Monuments in the US, established in 2016. Gold Butte has a lot to offer! From beautiful scenery, wildlife to petroglyphs and a TON of boondocking/dry camp spots. This was a great place to explore but Note – there is NO Cell service out here so download the maps within Gold Butte prior to your trip! There are also NO services (toilets, water, gas, etc) Pack everything in that you need and Pack everything OUT (ex. Trash, etc)

Slot Canyon 1 “Red Bluff Spring” – we hiked about 6 miles round trip but you can hike as far in as you want into the slot canyon (it’s a there and back hike)

7 Keyhole Canyon (Highly recommend) – it’s a short hike ~2 miles in total for the full loop through the slot canyons and see all the petroglyphs inside
