Dairy Farm Work

Описание к видео Dairy Farm Work

The year is coming to an end so we're pumping out the last of slurry and spreading manure heap out on the field as well. We're still making use of our old manure spreader, works just fine but I'm rather cautious not to load it too much.
We started feeding silage bales to our heifers. As you can see in the video, you can get some moldy surprise under the plastic, so I removed that part of spoiled feed. Otherwise the heifers seem to like these silage bales.
Milking is on the schedule every day and the cows are doing just fine this time of year when its a bit colder. We're not having too cold weather though, just around 0°C and no major snowfall yet.
In the end I went to the farm store to pick up 4 big bags of corn and some other stuff.

Thanks for watching!

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.
