Climate Change is one of the world’s greatest challenges. It is particularly concerning for communities by the coast. Measuring and managing the impact on the shoreline is vital and is something that international governments are actively engaged in. But are the current methods of measuring fit for purpose? In his talk, Professor Mike Phillips shares his alternative views. Professor Mike Phillips is Director of Research at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

Mike enjoys an international research profile which has resulted in his participation in interdisciplinary research projects, advisory boards, government consultancies, and international and national policy-making.

Mike is a member of Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES), Royal Geographical Society (RGS), Coastal Education and Research Foundation (CERF), Coastal Zone Canada Association (CZCA) and the European Union of Coastal Conservation (EUCC).
