Cartier Pasha Review | The Cartier watch you never knew existed! | W31080M7

Описание к видео Cartier Pasha Review | The Cartier watch you never knew existed! | W31080M7

There always seems to be a compromise between a dress watch vs a dive watch, but can a watch really cover both effectively? The Cartier Pasha was originally commissioned in the 1930s by the Pasha of Marrakesh to do exactly that. The Pasha asked Louis Cartier to make him a watch that he could wear for his morning swims as well as wear to formal occasions. That specific watch was lost to history, but in 1985 Cartier reintroduced the Pasha de Cartier with a redesign from famed watch designer Gerald Genta.

Gerald Genta's name will forever be associated with the Royal Oak & Nautilus, but his take on the Cartier Pasha resulted in one of the quirkiest, most unique Cartier watches in modern history, and it lasted up until 2009 with the model featured in this video - the Cartier Pasha de Cartier Seatimer (W31080M7)

The Cartier Pasha measures 40.5mm in diameter & 13mm thick, entirely rendered in satin-finished stainless steel save for the polished bezel and crown cover. The screwed-in crown cover helps to give the Pasha 100M of water resistance - more than enough for its original purpose of going swimming in the pool as commissioned by the Pasha of Marrakesh in the 1930s.
