Scenes from "The Nutcracker" arranged by Michael Story

Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker" is a staple entertainment at Christmas and Michael Story's arrangement of the ballet suite for band highlights four familiar tunes from the original. The Newmarket Citizens' Band performed it at their 2018 winter concert, "Comfort and Joy".

Michael Story received his music degrees from the University of Houston, where he was also assistant director of the Cougar Marching Band. He is currently a full-time writer for Alfred Music, with over 1,200 compositions and arrangements published for a variety of wind ensemble and solo and smaller ensembles.
