LIQUID LAUNDRY SOAP RECIPE

Ingredients:
1/2 bar grated soap (3/4 cup grated soap flakes)
1/2 cup washing soda
1/2 cup borax

Directions:
1.) Add grated soap in large pot on stovetop with 6 cups water. Heat until soap melts, but do not boil. At the same time, boil 4 cups of water separately in a teakettle or pot.

2.) Add in washing soda snd borax until dissolved. Take off heat.

3.) Add the 4 cups of boiling water to a 5 gallon bucket. Then add the soap mixture from the stove. Stir, and lastly, add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water to the bucket and stir again to combine.

4.) Place lid on the bucket and allow the soap to sit for 24 hours undisturbed. The soap will congeal during this time.

5.) Stir before use. Decant into a reusable container, if preferred. I use one capful per load (approximately 1/2 cup).


*One batch makes about 2 gallons and can be doubled, if needed.
