In this video, Dr Ali Shirsavar from Biricha Digital, and supported by ‪@OMICRONLabTutorials‬ , will explain how to select the optimal combination of ceramic and electrolytic capacitors on the output stage of a switch mode power supply.

A correctly selected combination will allow your power supply to achieve good stability as well as minimise output switching noise. You will also see that simply adding some decoupling capacitors to the output will not help the performance of the power supply in terms of either stability or switching noise.
