During Cataract Surgery your ophthalmologist will remove your cloudy natural lens and replace it with a lens implant. There are many different types of lenses, and patients often ask which one they should get? Which lens implant provides the highest quality vision after cataract surgery. Which lens is best? There are many good options, and in this video, I'll discuss my favorite lens for people who want the best far vision without glasses, day and night, so long as they don't mind reading glasses.

My first place lens is the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL). It provides the highest chance of 20/20 far vision without glasses compared to any other lens. This lens is adjustable and your prescription can be adjusted after surgery with the Light Delivery Device (LDD).

Second place is a basic monofocal if you don't have astigmatism, or a Toric Lens if you DO have astigmatism.
