A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V 551 rocket will launch the Amazon Kuiper mission (KA-02) for Amazon. Liftoff will occur from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, and is scheduled for launch at 6:54 a.m. EDT, 1054 UTC, 12:54 CEST in a launch window that is open until 11:25 a.m. EDT.

The launch trajectory will be to the northeast.

Project Kuiper
Project Kuiper is an initiative aimed at increasing global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit. Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

Project Kuiper has secured 80 launches from Arianespace, Blue Origin, SpaceX, and United Launch Alliance, along with options for additional launches with Blue Origin, providing sufficient capacity to deploy the majority of our satellite constellation. The agreements comprise the most significant commercial procurement of launch capacity in history, supporting thousands of suppliers and creating highly skilled jobs across the U.S. and Europe.

Project Kuiper combines a low Earth orbit satellite constellation with compact, affordable customer terminals, a global network of ground stations, and resilient communications infrastructure powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The system will provide high-speed, low-latency broadband on a worldwide scale.
