Those who have watched my previous videos, and those who know me, know that I consider Iran to be my second homeland. Being married to an Iranian wife, I now have a family in this country that is so interesting and mysterious to many. This fact gives me access to this country much easier than for anyone else who wishes to visit this country, and also, most importantly of all, it gives me access to something else unique. To the customs and traditions of the country, unknown to almost the entire rest of the world, as the prejudice, the wrong projection of the country by the media as an evil and oppressive country, a country of terrorists, has further isolated the country from the rest of the world. The truth, however, is far from this. Far from political and religious fanaticism, the people of Iran are truly unique in their nature. Classic Persian hospitality is everywhere you go, and the people enslave you with their kindness and goodness. In this video, as I mentioned before, we will take a look at an ancient custom that has been kept alive from ancient times until today. Τhe paying of respects to the ancestors before celebrating the new year according to the Persian calendar. To do this, we will visit the largest cemetery in the city of Kermanshah, where we will see the locals paying their respects to their deceased ancestors.
