Before starting the training you must read the description to be succesfull with this training process.
First of all; your bird has to be passed through infancy and must be at least 5 months old. If your bird is a cockatiel or budgerigar; its gender must be male. For other parrots species the gender does not matter.
During training there should not be a different sound in the environment that will distract your bird, such as people talking, TV or a radio running. During the training, there must be light in the environment and should not be dark. The most effective time for training is one or two hours before your bird goes to sleep. In this way your bird will repeat the melody in its dreams.
This is not a mandatory requirement but if you are going to start training as soon as your bird wakes up; please wait for it to eat its first meal. During the training period, please remember that your bird is not a robot but a live bird and each bird has different abilities and different characters so differencies can seen about process time and results.
If you train for an hour on average every day, your bird will start to imitate the melody within a week. If you do not continue training during this time, your bird will imitate the melody in a distorted way or it will not imitate the exact melody. Once your bird begins to imitate the melody, continue training until it complete the process perfectly. After your bird learns the melody, it will be enough to listen to it once a week to remind it.
