Our Trivandrum food tour unfolded in two parts. Guided by fellow foodie Aashamz P Darshen, we began the first leg of the journey at Maha Chips on Padmavilasam Road, East Fort. Here we indulged in their renowned pal payasam, paired with freshly made boli, a sweet chana dal stuffed roti. 

Next, we ventured to Rajila Hotel, where we feasted on a variety of mutton delicacies, including porota with mutton curry, mutton perattu, mutton fry, mutton soup and mutton boti, each dish boasting its own unique flavor profile and high-quality meat.

Continuing our gastronomic journey, we explored Rahmaniya Kethel's Chicken on Rahmaniya Lane, Chalai Bazar and savored the iconic Kerala-style fried chicken. It is fondly known as Kethel's fried chicken (KFC). 

Afterward, we couldn't resist trying the traditional Sadya at Mothers Veg Plaza in Bakery Junction, despite being quite full. The Sadya was truly gratifying, offering an array of authentic Kerala vegetarian dishes.

Quenching our thirst, we stopped by Buhari Special Juice in Attakulangara, where we reinvigorated ourselves with their refreshing grapes kurukki sharbath, a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors.

Our culinary adventure then took us to Vizhinjam, where we joined Bijus Sailabdeen, one of the city's celebrated food bloggers at Salmon Seafood Restaurant near Muhyuddin Juma Masjid Dargah Sharif. Under his expert guidance, we sampled an array of seafood delights, including appam, utta parotta, crab fry, mussels fry, prawn and squid fry, each dish bursting with the bold flavors of the sea.

Concluding our epicurean odyssey, we relished spicy white snapper fry at Ustad Hotel near Vizhinjam Fire Station, followed by tantalizing chicken fry at Afzal Family Fast Food in Vizhinjam. This gastronomic expedition was truly fascinating.
