Sustainable Mobility for All: What Future Do You Want?

Meeting the growing aspirations for mobility of people and goods has the potential to improve the lives and livelihoods of billions of people—their health, their environment, and their quality of life—and to help minimize the effects of climate change. But the future of mobility can also go in another direction: it can engender gross inequalities in economic and social advancement, promote fossil fuel use, degrade the environment, and add to the number of deaths from transport-related crashes. The World Bank Group is working with public and private partners under the Sustainable Mobility for All umbrella to prevent this. Sustainable Mobility for All brings together a diverse and influential group of transport stakeholders, with a commitment to speak with one coherent voice and act collectively to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and transform transport.
