In Too Deep was the third single lifted from "Youthquake", Dead Or Alive's second album. It was not released in America or Japan, perhaps because it deviated a bit from the Hi-NRG format of previous hit singles, "You Spin Me Round" and "Lover Come Back". It was the single chosen to support the Youthquake Tour in 1985 and was given TWO performances at all the shows on said tour. Unfortunately, it did not climb as high as hoped in the UK charts (which might have been part of the decision to not release it in America & Japan) but remained a fan and band favorite for many years to come.

Another reason for lack of chart impact MIGHT have something to do with the lack of a second remix. Unlike its predecessors, "In Too Deep" only had one extended mix- appearing on BOTH the standard and the limited edition 12". This was the first single of the "Youthquake" era to not offer a second remix, and despite the promise of a limited edition poster included with the 2nd 12" release, casual fans may have passed on the purchase with only the instrumental version offering something different from last week's version.

It was with that 12" version and the instrumental that I constructed this extra-long version. I tried my best to make it sound like something that WOULD have been included as a "second mix".
