By cutting a right circular cone with a plane we see we have some different shape that is a circle, a parabola, an ellipse, hyparbola. Then we discussed the mathematical interpretation of conic sections. The definition of conic section, The general equation of a conic section, we define focus, directrix and eccentricity of conic section. We will know that for different values of e we get different conic section. We also define parabola and establish the standard form of parabola. You will learn the different parts of a parabola that is its focal length, vertex, axis, letus rectum, focal chord, double ordinate. We discussed the different form of parabola.
