यह उसे दौर की बात है जब यश चोपड़ा अपने भाई बीआर चोपड़ा के साथ कई हिट फिल्में दे चुके थे, लेकिन बीआर फिल्म्स से अलग उनकी कोई पहचान नहीं थी. यही वजह थी कि जब उन्होंने 'दाग' बनाने का ऐलान किया. फिल्म का ऐलान तो कर डाला लेकिन कोई फिल्म में पैसा लगाने वाला नहीं मिल रहा था. ऐसे बुरे वक्त में राजेश खन्ना डायरेक्टर की मदद को आगे आए और उन्होंने उनकी फिल्म बिलकुल मुफ्त में साइन की. लेकिन इस फिल्म के बाद यश चोपड़ा ने फिर कभी काका के साथ काम नहीं किया. उन्होंने ऐसा क्यों किया, इसका खुलासा यश चोपड़ा ने खुद किया था. पूरा किस्सा क्या था बताएंगे हम आज के इस वीडियो में.
