The 'John Montesante Dectet' is a Melbourne based jazz outfit, which evolved from the bandleader's quintet ( JMQ Jazz Ensemble), when he invited extra musicians to join the lineup, to perform and record his 10 part arrangements, with their genesis n Bebop, Blue Note and beyond. Subsequently, this stellar Ensemble has performed at concerts, jazz clubs and premier events, with some of Australia's finest jazz musicians and singers. On this track, FEM BELLING leads the Count Basie standard, 'Shiny Stockings'.
