Becoming A Standout Surgeon

Experts in the surgical field joined the RCSI Fellows and Members Office for its “Becoming a Standout Surgeon” event as part of the RCSI Charter Meeting 2023.

The aim of the event was to raise awareness amongst medical students, surgical trainees, interns, NCHDs and junior and foundation doctors of the opportunities available through the new RCSI Affiliate Membership programme, to provide guidance on pursuing a successful career in surgery, and to provide the potential future surgical training programme applicants in the audience with an insight into the standards and the level of competition in the field, focusing on the 2022 Core Surgical Trainee Intake Data.
