I missed out on the November 2019 UpCrate, so instead of unboxing the real thing, I'm recreating it for the No-Box Art Box challenge! The main feature of the November UpCrate was the 12 set of Staedtler Super Soft coloured pencils, and I already received that particular set from ScrawlrBox March 2019, so this box is the perfect candidate for #NoBoxArtBox.

I encourage everyone try the No-Box Art Box challenge! It's quite simple.

Step 1: Pick a past art or craft subscription box, and look up the contents.

Step 2: Match the supplies as close as possible using what you already own. Exact matches are fine as long as you're not recreating a box you actually received.

Step 3: Do the challenge! If the original box had a theme or prompt, try to stick to it. Otherwise, your challenge is simply to make art/crafts using only the supplies you've matched. Only add necessities that were missing, such as paper or a pencil.

Use the hashtag #NoBoxArtBox wherever you post it, so I can see it! I curate a master playlist for the challenge here on YouTube, and I would love to add your video to it.


UpCrate is an excellent new service operating out of Germany, and they currently do not charge shipping. Monthly subscribers pay €22/month, and the discounted monthly equivalents for pre-paid longer terms are €21.33 at 3 months, €20.33 at 6 months, and €19.33 at 12 months.
