(Wild) Mead The Hard Way

In this video I demonstrate how to make mead using wild yeast isolated from bees. Along side the wild mead, I also brew a conventional mead as a comparison.

This video illustrates every step of this process, from harvesting the honey, to collecting and proofing the yeast, to the brewing, bottling and tasting of the mead.

This video is accompanied by a blog post which contains additional details on how to perform the yeast capture and proofing demonstrated in this video, as well as additional notes on the approach that I used for ensuring a quick fermentation and proper packaging of the mead.
