Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Playthrough

This is actually the first I have ever played Resident Evil 7. When it first got announced I was not interested at all because I felt like it was going too far in the direction of Outlast and Sillent Hill's PT Demo. It was nice to hear people say this was reviving the Resident Evil franchise but the first person aspect and from the trailer it looked like you were just a helpless protagonist running away and around things really put me off and away from playing the game. I only took a little interest in 7 when Village came out and I only took interest in Village because people claimed it to be a spiritual successor to Resident Evil 4 and that rumor has it that a Resident Evil 4 Remake might happen with the assets in Village. (Spoilers it did) Those rumors and high acclaims convinced me to give Village a chance and in turn look into the lore of RE7. I watched/Skim through playthroughs of RE7 but never experienced it/ look too deep into it. So this whole playthrough was my first time and man was I missing out. My assumptions about the game was wrong. I really enjoyed the game and felt the spirit of Resident Evil throughout the game. Obviously the only thing that put me off was the first person but I understood it was capture the audience of horror game fans at the time. The puzzles, survivor horror elements, the boss battles, and etc. Were so Resident Evil and so good. So happy I gave this game a chance and I should've trusted our beloved franchise more.
