Bitcoin IS NOT Crypto | Bitcoin Backstage w/ Mina Khattak

Описание к видео Bitcoin IS NOT Crypto | Bitcoin Backstage w/ Mina Khattak

Bitcoin is often classified as a cryptocurrency, but there is a semantic debate over whether it should be considered crypto. The term 'crypto' refers to a new form of money secured by cryptography that exists on the internet in a peer-to-peer manner. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that uses cryptography for security. Other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Solana are not primarily used as cash systems and have central issuers. Bitcoiners argue that Bitcoin is fundamentally different from other cryptocurrencies in terms of governance, ethics, and engineering. Bitcoin aims to replace the endless supply of fiat currencies.

PLUS, join host Isabella Santos as she takes you backstage to speak with Mina Khattak, director of growth for payment processor company Worldpay. She brings a unique story to how Bitcoin's power as a money network clicked for her and speaks more to being a woman working in Bitcoin and fintech.
