Porsche Panamera 2025 review: Redesigned sedan powers ahead of BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class!

The 2025 Porsche Panamera represents the third generation of the German brand's upper-large car. That said, it would be fair to say this new model is actually just a heavy facelift of the second generation. Either way, there's no denying that the Panamera has stepped up against competition from the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series, which admittedly don't have the same level of performance focus.

So, what's new with the Panamera? Well, the exterior and interior designs have naturally been overhauled, but the changes are hard to spot in some areas, such is Porsche evolutionary approach to styling. There are also revisions to the range-wide adaptive air suspension.

In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar and her family of three spend a week living with eponymous entry-level Panamera sedan, which has upgraded its 2.9-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 engine to 260kW of power (+17kW) and 500Nm of torque (+50Nm) for a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.2 seconds.
