Scanner Plays with Scanner

I was truly astonished when I opened up the box recently sent to me by Qu-Bit Electronix, not only by their generosity but the fact that their Scanned Eurorack module had been customised just for me, replacing Scanned with Scanner. I laughed out loud to myself with joy!

So what is Scanned? or shall we shall Scanner then? :-). Well, according to those who know it's "an organic wavetable oscillator that uses an unexplored technique known as Scanned Synthesis to animate wavetables that are created in real-time. This synthesis method was conceived by the father of computer music, Max Mathews, as the next paradigm in digital oscillators, and until now, has never been implemented on hardware." So there you have it, a unique item indeed.

So, today I let the machines take control and created this rather epic sounding piece, having anticipated creating something completely different. There are quite a few sonic voices in here but the lead melody is the Scanner module :-D Well, why not eh?
