‪@otto.transit‬ was on the artic bus ahead of mine!

Due to critical construction and testing along trackway between Menlo Park and Santa Clara Stations in order to support the Caltrain Electrification Project, weekend service shutdowns are in effect on specific weekends, and a lifespan bus bridge will provide service instead. This was recorded yesterday (5/13/23), this time with 2 VTA buses (1 40-foot and 1 60-foot) per Caltrain trip, which they go back-to-back to pick up passengers with extra capacity.

Santa Clara VTA was actually putting effort into running the bus bridge, since there are customized announcements onboard the bus (you can hear that at around 00:11, "Next Stop is Palo Alto"), in order to keep passengers informed and not lost! This weekend the bus bridge is operated by a variety of coaches, including #6202, #6431, #8301, #8343 and #2204 (this one), which was very surprising for me, as I did not know that a 2002 Gillig would be operating on this service as well!
