The Chinese company Space Transportation successfully tested its ramjet engine (JINDOU400) Dec 17, 2024. The engine uses detonation combustion technology. The engine achieved a flight of Mach 4 at an altitude of more than 20 kilometers. This type of engine has huge commercial application potential in the field of near-space flight, taking the company one step closer to manufacturing supersonic commercial aircraft.
