When the level of prostaglandins decreases, the risk of kidney stones increases. This is because prostaglandins also help to regulate the levels of calcium and salt in the body, which are key components of kidney stones.

[Risk Factors]
Apart from decreasing prostaglandins, NSAIDs also cause dehydration, which is another major risk factor for kidney stones. When the body is dehydrated, the urine becomes concentrated, making it easier for minerals to crystallize and form stones in the kidneys.

[Preventive Measures]
If you need to take painkillers regularly, here are some preventive measures you can take to reduce the risk of developing kidney stones:
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage of painkillers.
Avoid taking painkillers for extended periods.
