Did Minecraft Just Ruin Villagers?

Minecraft 1.20.2 snapshots have introduced some experimental new villager updates, including changes to the wandering trader and librarian villagers. The villager updates mainly make it harder to get mending, among other changes. Are these villager updates good tho??
