The Beach Boys U.S. Singles Collection (2008 CD set Review)

In 2008, American Beach Bous fans were treated to a special 16-CD boxset that covered 14 of the group's singles from 1962-1965. Featuring classics, fan favorites, and a few forgotten tunes, this set uses individual discs to replicate the singles and, in many cases, remix them for a new generation.

Also featuring an EP disc and a disc of oddities, the Singles Collection is mostly forgotten today. But is it worth revisiting? The exclusive tracks say yes, but the odd packaging and repetitive nature might ward some potential listeners away. What are your thoughts on this unusual set?
