Here's a video log of a PD130 VW bora showing headgasket failure problems and loosing coolant. Sniff test inconclusive so Cylinder head removed and signs of 'head lift' discovered.
Started to strip the head and the third glow plug snapped so spent some time drilling that out and cleaning up the threads.
Head skimmed - 4 thou on the first pass and another 2 thou on the second. Total 6 thou (0.152mm) and valves lapped in to match. Valve stem seals replaced, camshaft oil seal replaced, stretch bolts, injector seals and glow plugs replaced.
I'll finish the job tomorrow and upload a part 2.
