Dallara SP1 LMP900 Prototype w/ 11,000rpm Judd V10 Engine Sound at Monza Circuit!

Enjoy the sound of this Dallara SP1 LMP900 prototype driven by James Cottingham during the 2020 Monza Historic by Peter Auto, in the Endurance Racing Legends championship!

In 2001 Dallara designed a new car to compete in the LMP900 class. Chrysler approached Dallara and made a deal according to which Chrysler would use the new SP1 as a platform for their winning return to Le Mans. The first 3 chassis were powered by a 6.0L Mopar V8 engine with around 590 hp. To run the cars, Chrysler asked help to the specialists of Team Oreca, already known for their work on the Vipers. But being not able to win the 2001 24h of Le Mans, despite a 4th place in the overall standings, Chrysler pulled out from the project.

Thanks to Team Oreca, the Dallara SP1 project continued as a privateer and the first change made was to set a deal with Judd and use their 4.0-liter GV4 V10 engines.
The SP1 shown in this video is chassis DO-004 and it was built in 2002, finishing fifth at the Le Mans 24h behind Audi and Bentley. The GV4 was able to produce 700hp at 10,500 rpm and a max torque of 508 Nm at 8,500 rpm.
