Carl is recognised in Eastern Arnhem Land as one of the all-time greats by Yolngu, he was a contemporary and close childhood friend of Milkayngu Mununggurr (RIP bro) whom some families consider to be the greatest of the greats.

So here he is, the great Carl Ngalkanbuy in slow motion playing 3 different rhythms. Can you pick his signature syncopation? This has been taken up by lots of Yolngu players throughout Eastern Arnhem Land and is now considered "normal" but Carl was the innovator of this many years ago.
