SYNOPSIS:
The teamWorx docudrama "George" shows the life and death of Heinrich George, one of the greatest actors of the 20th Century, who was imprisoned for his role in the Third Reich in Soviet camps and died there. Heinrich George is played by his son, Götz George, also one of the most important witnesses. Here, "George" carefully examined the issue of guilt and responsibility of the artist in a dictatorship.

RECOGNITION: George has won 2013 the German Film Award in the category "Special Award for Outstanding Contributions to German Cinema" (Deutscher Filmpreis, colloquially known as the Bundesfilmpreis or as the Lola Award).
