Dover Motion provides motorized microscope stages for XY sample motion, and Z objective focusing. Recently, NanoView Biosciences utilized Dover Motion’s industry award-winning SmartStage™ XY and DOF-5 linear motor stages, to achieve improved biomarker imaging performance, throughput, and reliability.

NanoView Bioscience’s instrument provides enhanced biomarker discovery and virus characterization utilizing fluorescence microscopy. Their biomarker imaging technology uniquely identifies and characterizes exosomes as small as 50 nm as well as viruses. The platform provides previously unattainable information for biophysical and proteomic information at the single exosome or virus characterization level. Up to 5 biomarkers per EV can be detected and characterized.

In this video, we explore how Dover Motion partnered with NanoView Biosciences to achieve all identified instrument improvement targets. Their goal for their next-generation exosome imaging instrument, the ExoView® R200, was to improve instrument imaging performance, throughput, and reliability through upgrades to the motion control stages. Dover Motion’s motorized microscope stages ensure consistent image quality through stable and repeatable XY motion and Z stage nanopositioning.

How Dover Motion Helped NanoView:
The previous stepper motor and screw-driven stages were limiting instrument performance. Dover Motion provided a combined solution for X, Y, and Z axes utilizing both the SmartStage™ XY and DOF-5 linear motor stages, which achieved all identified instrument improvement targets.
