ELISE – Autonomous Charging Unit and Integrated Data Gateway for Electric Vehicles

The goal of this project is the provision of solutions and product ideas to optimally support a maximum market share of electric mobility in both the short- and long-term. Firstly, this includes a real-time capable, universally configurable and system-integrated telematic platform to act as a data gateway in the electric vehicle, allowing location-independent access to and the use of status data for adaptive services. Secondly, this includes a decentralised autonomous charging unit in the vehicle. The integration of the data gateway makes available relevant vehicle-specific data that can be used, for example, for emergency charging between two vehicles - similar to jump starting - or for stand-alone decentralised control systems for charging and discharging operations to stabilise power grids.
