Featured in this video are three of our Ignite speakers from Idea Con 2023; Jeurys Santiago, NJ Umoh and Seth Forbes.

Jeurys Santiago, an an Oprah Winfrey scholarship recipient
and currently an Honors student at UMass Lowell concentrating in marketing and international business while enrolled in the 4+1 program pursuing his MBA, is the founder of Minds with Purpose. Minds with Purpose was created about 3 years ago and they are a Networking Platform & Entertainment agency dedicated to creating exposure and support for creatives, businesses, and entrepreneurs. Their goal is to allow these entities to become more accessible, profitable, and sustainable through stimulated exposure within their communities. It is carefully curated to connect local creatives with other like-minded people who want to build meaningful connections and achieve their full potential through community involvement.

Next up, we have NJ Umoh. Umoh studied Computer Science at Boston University (CAS) and specializes in Fullstack Development & DevOps Engineering. He comes from a Nigerian background and is the Founder and CEO of CompSciLib, an app aimed at providing Computer Science assistance to students worldwide. NJ is also a content creator on TikTok and YouTube, providing educational content and advice for the next generation of tech students. He has always had a passion for education and innovation. He believes that with the right knowledge and big dreams, anything is possible.

Last but definitely not the least, we have Seth Forbes. Forbes is an entrepreneur, writer, and digital analyst with an M.A. in Organizational and Professional Communication & Development from Ball State University and will soon graduate with an MBA and M.S. in Digital Technology from the Questrom School of Business. Raised between rural Indiana and Plano, TX, Seth is a first-generation, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ college student who initially became estranged from half of her family at the age of 13. Together Estranged was founded by Seth Forbes in 2020, with a mission to support and empower those estranged from family while enhancing social understanding for the de-stigmatization of estrangement. Serving students, women, and the LGBTQ+ community, Seth advocates for those who’ve suffered from family abuse, childhood trauma, neglect, or a lack of acceptance after coming out.

Hosted by Innovate@BU, IDEA Con 2022 was a hybrid in-person/virtual event on February 26 for college students and recent graduates to explore innovation and entrepreneurship.
